At DFDS, we want to 

• Expand the sea and land based transport network to cover Europe
• Provide integrated value generating solutions for freight customers and passengers
• Secure freight volumes through logistics services and strategic port acces
• Maintain a constant focus on quality and efficiency of operations

Our strategic areas of focus
In implementing our strategy, we focus on - creating a culture of:

• Continuous improvement to lower costs and increase efficiency
• Sharing best practice 
• Achieving growth and economies of scale through acquisitions
• Improving our value proposition to customers (integrated network, freight sales solutions)
• Making our operating model scalable and standardizing business processes (IT, supply chain, technical maintenance, shared service centres)

It is our financial goal to

• Achieve premium on cost of capital - first goal level: 9-10% return
• 40-50% above current minimum return requirement of 6.5% (WACC)
